How do you measure wind velocity parallel to the Earth using a kite with no anemometers?
I can't use anemometers or any other high tech equipment to measure wind velocity, just a kite.

use Pythagoras formula..assumed that the rope is stiff (perfectly straight) and can be measured.

use stopwatch and a bow to measure the angle of elevation.
