Is it possible to save yourself from a tornado by using like 40-50 kites other than a basement?
Is it also a good idea to do this if you live in a trailer/moble home?
I'm saying can the kites save YOU by picking you up and blowing you away from the twister (depending which way the wind blows).

what would the kites do besides get ripped off by the high winds?
No way that would work. Even if that happened, one would likely be drawn into the tornadic circulation, which would be bad news. Most movies that depict tornadoes show the winds blowing away from the tornado. This is not the way it happens. Tornadoes have what are known as inflow jets, where narrow channels of strong winds blow into the tornadic circulation.
If you live in a trailer or mobile home, get out and to a better, more reinforced shelter, preferably when the weather begins to become threatening, since you may not have time once a tornado approaches.
