Q&A: What would happen if a plane passed by a kite?

What would happen if a plane passed by a kite?
I've seen kites go pretty high and some planes were nearby. Do you think it would interrupt the plane.. or simply get torn to pieces? Are there any regulations as to where you can/cannot fly a kite?

anywhere near airport runways, have a 1000 ft clearance zone. that is far enough to give planes time to get to higher altitudes… besides, i dont know a kite that can fly 36,000 ft…..

Kites can go pretty high, but I do not think that they go near high enough to get close to, let alone bother a plane. You need not worry.

As far a s regulations where you can fly a kite, use common sense, don’t fly one near an airport, and you will be OK.

Kites can not go that high so there are no regulations. However, if this did happen the kite would get sucked into the plane and probably wouldnt affect anything.

Just relax and fly your kite and have fun
